The Saturday-after-Thanksgiving slot means a lot of Jets fans are already thinking about a long weekend — and the November 29 matchup at Hard Rock Stadium gives you a good reason to turn it into one. If your group is heading down from the New York area, Hollywood, FL is an easy, low-key home base a short drive from the stadium.
The Matchup
The Jets visit Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Sunday, November 29, the weekend after Thanksgiving. Flights out of the New York area into Miami International or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International tend to be plentiful that weekend, and both airports put you close to Hollywood.
Why Hollywood Beats a Stadium-Strip Hotel
Since it’s already a holiday travel weekend, hotel rates near the stadium can run especially high. Hollywood sits roughly 25 to 30 minutes north and gives your group a real beach town to stretch out in — the Broadwalk, local restaurants, and room to breathe after a busy Thanksgiving week.
Total Oasis: Room for the Whole Crew
If you’re bringing extended family along for the holiday-weekend trip, Total Oasis is set up for it: five connected units sleeping up to 30 guests under one roof, with enough shared kitchen and living space that everyone isn’t stuck in separate hotel rooms. Smaller groups can book one of our individual units — Oasis, Sunrise, or Sunset — and still be close to the beach and the stadium.
Make a Weekend of It
Turning the trip into a four- or five-day stretch makes sense with the holiday weekend already in play — arrive a day or two before kickoff, enjoy Hollywood Beach, and head to Miami Gardens with the whole group on game day instead of flying in and out same-day.
A couple of practical notes: book your rental car and rideshare ahead of time, since both the holiday travel rush and a Dolphins home game will have Hard Rock Stadium’s lots and surrounding streets busy, and plan extra time getting out after the game.
Kismet Getaways has hosted plenty of visiting fan groups over the years, with more than 1,600 guest reviews across our properties. Check availability for November 29 before the holiday weekend books up.
