Las Olas Art Fair Returns October 17–18: Make It a Hollywood Beach Weekend

Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard turns into an open-air gallery on October 17 and 18, 2026, when the 39th Annual Las Olas Art Fair takes over East Las Olas Blvd. Hosted by Howard Alan Events in partnership with the Las Olas Association, the two-day fair (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days) is free to attend and brings artists from around the country showing paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry, glass, ceramics and mixed media along the tree-lined boulevard. Between browsing booths, there’s plenty of shopping and dining right along Las Olas to round out the day.

If you’re planning to come down for it, don’t limit yourself to just the one street. Las Olas is a short drive north of Hollywood, which means you can spend Saturday wandering the art fair and still be back at a quiet, beach-close home base in time for dinner — rather than competing for a hotel room in the thick of downtown Fort Lauderdale during a festival weekend.

Where to Base Yourself

For a weekend like this, Sunset A is a good fit. It’s a private one-bedroom apartment at our Hollywood property that sleeps up to seven across the bedroom and additional beds in the common area, with a full kitchen, workspace and free parking. Hollywood North Beach Park is about 3 miles away, so after a day on Las Olas you can trade the crowds for sand the next morning. It’s one of several configurations at the property — groups can also combine units like Oasis and Sunrise for more bedrooms and shared outdoor space if more people are coming along.

A Few Practical Notes

Admission to the art fair is free, but parking along Las Olas fills up fast, so plan to arrive early or look at nearby garages. The fair runs rain or shine, and with South Florida’s October weather still warm, lightweight clothing and sun protection go a long way during the midday hours.

Guest reviews across Airbnb and VRBO (we’re past 1,600 combined) point to the same thing: a clean, well-stocked space and an easy self check-in make it simple to settle in and focus on the trip itself. If an art-fair weekend — or any South Florida getaway — is on the calendar, book direct with Kismet Getaways for the best rate and a host who’s a quick message away.
